Bio-Kat - NRP Group, Inc.

What is Bio-Kat?

A natural bio-cellular activator sewage additive product containing a blend of proprietary constituents.

Does not contain microbes.

Is a microbial metabolic stimulant blend used to decrease corrosion, hydrogen sulfide, FOG, bio-solids, ammonia, and polymer.

Converts the collection system to a pre-treatment step by increasing overall biodegradability in the sewer collection systems.

Is a proprietary blend of various constituents that enhances an anoxic degradation in the sewer lines at an ORP of around -100 mV instead of -300 mV, which causes the production H2S gas and mercaptans.

Where is Bio-Kat Used?

Typical application of Bio-Kat. The dosing unit provides an industry-first, compact, and unobstructive dosing equipment footprint.

Above ground drums and totes are used for forcemain applications.

Bio-Kat Performace

Corrosion and hydrogen sulfide gases reduced by 90% in most areas being treated.

Odor complaints reduced significantly.

Emergency call outs due to FOG reduced from 87/year to 3/year.

Elimination of contractual services for FOG gravity main lateral jetting; lift station vactor truck.

Reduction in biosolids.

WWTP optimization.

Long-term capital expenditure savings due to corrosion reduction

Based on the H2S data from the New Orleans Parish study, the estimated savings was $4.1M/year.

Significant savings due to near elimination of FOG emergency service callouts (SSOs)

Hollywood, FL emergency call outs due to FOG reduced from 87/year to 3/year.

Elimination contractual services for FOG gravity main lateral jetting; lift station vactor truck.

Optimization of WWTP operations (Reduction of BOD, TSS, FOG, and Biosolids).
